The artist's way
An old-school graffiti artist got collared walking along Second Avenue.
Witnesses saw him tagging a building, called the authorities, and he was found in possession of spray-paint cans.
The public defender explains that the charges and bail requested by the prosecution are way too severe for the artist-in-custody.
This "piece" did not just get thrown up. He painted it one year earlier and got done for it then.
Early this morning, he just wanted to go back and "touch it up."
