Road rage
Parking in New York City requires equal parts cunning and patience. Parkers must anticipate, locate and know when to pursue and when to back off. Emotions run high in the heated competition of disposing one's car, and the man in the L.A. Kings jersey standing up tonight forgot the rules of engagement. Many of these rules are unspoken, such as: first to the space gets the space. But the public face of the rulebook are the Traffic Enforcement Agents, and they usually are not hard to find.
The man in the hockey jersey encountered not one, but two TEAs on his fateful parking adventure. He not only encountered them, he fought with them. His first pass was over a spot too close to a hydrant. A TEA standing nearby told the Kings fan that he would receive a ticket if he parked there. The man bellowed out an obscenity as he peeled away.
A few blocks down the street, a second agent warned him to move his vehicle after he had already parked it.
The man responded with a warning of his own: "Get the f--- away from my car, or I'll get my bat and crack your head."
It did not take long to track the man down. His license plate was written down twice.
