Laws of Invention: Explore the Web

Protect your ideas. Here are a few of our favorite web sites for inventors.

U.S. Patent Office and Trademark Office
An essential source of information if you're applying for a patent or trademark. Look here for guides to filing a patent application and registering a trademark, search the library for any and every patent every granted and keep up with the latest patent-related legislation.

Inventors Alliance Group
If you're an inventor who's been scammed out of the profits from your brainchild, these people say they can help. We can't vouch for the quality of their services, but it's an interesting niche. As always, we encourage you to do your homework before hiring any legal representation.

International Inventors Club
An organization to help inventors reap the benefits from their inventions. The Official Record of Invention posted on their site is worth a look, and their newsletter, though hard to find from their home page, has lots of guidance for inventors.

InventNet
Chat with other inventors, search for a patent lawyer, peruse listings of inventions for sale and more.

Inventors' Digest
The publishers of this popular investors' magazine have chosen to put only a few select articles online, but that shouldn't stop you from stopping here. The Help for Inventors section is a good place to start your web explorations.
