Georgia and the Death Penalty

Georgia allows the death penalty as an option in the following cases:

murder
kidnapping with bodily injury when the victim dies
kidnapping for ransom when the victim dies
aircraft hijacking
treason

The sentence is death by electrocution.

Minimum age for death penalty: 17 years

Executions 1930-1976: 383

Executions since 1977: 23
