New Hampshire and the Death Penalty
New Hampshire allows the death penalty as an option in the following cases:
contract murder
murder of a law enforcement officer
murder of a kidnapping victim
killing someone after being sentenced to life imprisonment without parole
The sentence is death by lethal injection.
Hanging may also be used if lethal injection cannot be administered.
Minimum age for death penalty: 17
