13-year-old indicted as adult in teacher's slaying  
   

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A 13-year-old boy was indicted as an adult on first-degree murder charges Monday in the shooting death of his teacher.

If convicted, Nathaniel Brazill could get life in prison without hope of parole.

If charged and convicted as a juvenile, he could he held only until he turned 21.

Earlier, protesters decrying the expected indictment marched around the Palm Beach County Courthouse, banging on bongo drums and shaking tambourines. When the indictment was handed up, they gathered in a hallway outside the courtroom and sang the civil rights anthem "We Shall Overcome."
