Sleepover Turns Deadly

Twelve-year-old Polly Klaas was enjoying her first slumber party with two friends on October 1, 1993, when a man climbed in through a bedroom window in her Petaluma, Calif., home, tied up her two friends and abducted her.

Her body was found two months later, and her rapist and killer, Richard Allen Davis, was convicted and sentenced to death. Polly's parents have since become advocates for families of missing children.
