The following is a transcript of a recording of the 911 call that the jury heard during Martin Tankleff's 1990 murder trial. The call was made from the Tankleff home in Belle Terre, N.Y., an affluent incorporated village that is home to wealthy doctors, lawyers and business executives. The call was placed on the morning of Sept. 7, 1988.

MARTIN TANKLEFF: This is Marty Tankleff, 33 Seaside Drive in Belle Terre. I need an ambulance. Emergency.

TANKLEFF: Emergency.
