A person is guilty of manslaughter in the second degree when:
1. He recklessly causes the death of another person

125.12. Vehicular manslaughter in the second degree

A person is guilty of vehicular manslaughter in the second degree when he
1. commits the crime of criminally negligent homicide as defined in section 125.10, and either
2. causes the death of such other person by operation of a vehicle in violation of subdivision two, three or four of section eleven hundred ninety-two of the vehicle and traffic law or by operation of a vessel or public vessel in violation of paragraph (b), (c), (d) or (e) of subdivision two of section forty-nine-a of the navigation law

A person is guilty of reckless endangerment in the second degree when he recklessly engages in conduct which creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person.

No person shall operate a motor vehicle while such person has .10 of one per centum or more by weight of alcohol in the person`s blood as shown by chemical analysis of such person`s blood, breath, urine or saliva, made pursuant to the provisions of section eleven hundred ninety-four of this article

1212. Reckless driving.

Reckless driving shall mean driving or using any motor vehicle, motorcycle or any other vehicle propelled by any power other than muscular power or any appliance or accessory thereof in a manner which unreasonably interferes with the free and proper use of the public highway, or unreasonably endangers users of the public high-way. Reckless driving is prohibited. Every person violating this provision shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

1111. Traffic-control signal indications.

Whenever traffic is controlled by traffic-control signals, other than lane direction control signal indications provided in section eleven hundred sixteen, exhibit- ing different colored lights, or colored lighted arrows, successively, one at a time or in combination, only the colors green, yellow and red shall be used.

    New York City police officer Joseph Gray was convicted of manslaughter for fatally crashing into a family of four following a day of drinking on August 4, 2001.
