Said his mother told him she was happy in her marriage but that their sex life could be better and that her husband had "his own way of dealing with that now"
Testified that he had discovered pornography on his father's computer but never confronted him about it
Said that the family discussed DNA transfer after the police said Greineder's profile was found at the crime scene

Gerard Belliveau, private investigator

Went to investigate the Morse's Pond area eight days after the murder
Found a used oval shaped aluminum pan at an abandoned campfire site
Also found other objects including a brick, rag and a rusty beer can

Stuart James, blood spatter expert

Said that the blood on Greineder's clothing could have been satellite spatter rather than impact spatter
Testified it is possible that the spatter on Greineder's sneakers occurred when he tried to lift his wife's body
Said the dot pattern on Greineder's jacket were not necessarily the same as the dimpled gloves found at the scene

Marc Taylor, forensic scientist

Testified about DNA transfer, saying it was scientifically possible for a person's DNA to end up on something they never touched

Tom Tillotson, latex surgical glove expert

Said the gloves at the scene did not match the box of gloves found in the Greineder home
Testified the gloves at the scene did not match the gloves found in a tool box in Dr. Greineder's van

Dan Krane, genetics expert

Said there was DNA found from an unknown person that were missed by tests performed by prosecution experts
Unknown genetic material was found on Mabel Greineder's gloves, blood spatter found on her abdomen, under her fingernails and on the murder weapons

Jeffrey Schlossberg, estate planner

Played a tape of a phone message Greineder left two days before the murder in which Greineder sounded "normal"
Said Greineder tried to claim a $200,000 on Mabel's life a few months after the murder but the company refused to pay
Greineder then tried to assign the benefit to the children but the company still has not yet paid

Joseph Stone, insurance salesman

Worked on a last-to-die insurance for the Greineders that would pay only their children
Met with Greineder about the policy two days before the murder
Testified the policy had not been put into effect before the murder

Joseph McGloin, glove importer

Examined the gloves but said that his company did not import that type of glove

Dirk Greineder, defendant

Said he pursued other sexual outlets after the sex life in his marriage stalled but that he loved his wife
Repeatedly denied murdering his wife, whom he said he loved "more than anything"
Testified he called Doolio the day after the murder only to cancel an encounter because of a family crisis

Kirsten Greineder, victim/defendant's daughter

Recalled her father as "distraught and exhausted" after her mother's murder
Admitted buying EZ Loaf foil pans more than a week after the murder
Said it was her idea to unfreeze her father's health club membership
