March 10, 2003

On the way to Kaiser Hospital, Amen allegedly spills the boy's urine container while the mother makes a restroom pit stop. A hospital official testified the remaining sample was insufficient to conduct a test. After the hospital visit, the mother asks to be taken to a beauty salon in West Los Angeles, where her boyfriend, who is in the Army, meets her. She goes home with him, and the children go back to Neverland.

March 11, 2003

Jane Doe has a hearing in custody court about issues with her ex-husband. The defense claims it was one in a series of opportunities for her to alert authorities that her family was being falsely imprisoned.

March 12, 2003

Neverland Ranch

The accuser's grandparents convince Jackson aides to bring the children back to L.A. for a visit. Once back home, they never return to Neverland.

April 2003

Attorney Bill Dickerman introduces the family to civil attorney Larry Feldman, who represented Jordie Chandler in 1993.

May 2003

Feldman introduces the family to psychologist Stanley Katz, who interviews the children and the mother to determine if sexual abuse has been perpetrated against John Doe.

July 2003

John Doe tells investigators he was molested by Jackson. Presentation of the videotaped interview at trial will mark a major turning point in the prosecution's case, as jurors watch the 13-year-old reluctantly reveal for the first time that Jackson masturbated him, showed him pornography, and gave him alcohol almost every night he stayed at Neverland.

Nov. 18, 2003

A raid on Neverland

Some 70 Santa Barbara County officers raid Neverland. The search begins at 9 a.m. and ends after midnight. Investigators seize a wide-ranging collection of pornographic magazines and books from Jackson's office, bedroom, bathroom and under his bed, but no illegal child porn. Police also find surveillance footage of the family from Bradley Miller's office.

Nov. 20, 2003

Michael Jackson is arrested as his plane lands in Santa Barbara.

Jan. 16, 2004

Jackson pleads not guilty to child molestation charges at his initial arraignment and dances on top of his SUV outside the courthouse.

April 21, 2004

Jackson is indicted on 10 counts. Four days later, he announces that he has fired Geragos and attorney Benjamin Brafman and has hired his current attorney, Thomas Mesereau.

Dec. 3-4, 2004

Neverland is raided again and DNA samples are taken from the singer.

Jan. 31, 2005

Jury selection begins with 300 potential jurors summoned to a Santa Maria courthouse.

Feb. 28, 2005

Attorneys give opening statements in Jackson's child molestation trial.

June 3, 2005

After hearing testimony from 140 witnesses, a panel of eight women and four men begin deliberating Jackson's fate.

June 13, 2005

Michael Jackson is cleared of all 10 counts against him. He returns to Neverland a free man.
