IRA EINHORN

"Hippie guru" Ira Einhorn fled to France to avoid standing trial for the 1979 murder of his girlfriend, Holly Maddux, in Philadelphia. Lengthy extradition proceedings eventually led to Einhorn's return, and on Oct. 17, 2002, he was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
