Felony Allegation 1975 Statute Penalty
Conspiracy to commit murder Olson with Emily Harris, Bill Harris and others plotted to kill people with pipe bombs between about May 25, 1974 and Sept. 19, 1975

§ 182.1 [Criminal conspiracy] If two or more persons conspire to commit any crime…they shall be punishable in the same manner and to the same extent as is provided for the punishment of said felony. If the felony is one for which different punishments are prescribed for different degrees, the jury or court which finds the defendant guilty thereof shall determine the degree of the felony defendant conspired to commit. If the degree is not so determined, the punishment for conspiracy to commit such felony shall be that prescribed for the lesser degree, except in the case of conspiracy to commit murder in which case the punishment shall be that prescribed in the first degree.
All cases of conspiracy may be prosecuted and tried in the superior court of any county in which any overt act tending to effect such a conspiracy shall be done.

§ 187 [Murder] Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus with malice aforethought.

Possession of a destructive device Olson had a bomb in her possession at the International House of Pancakes Aug. 21, 1975. § 12303.2 [Possession in public place] Every person who recklessly or maliciously has in his possession any destructive device or any explosive on a public street or highway, in or near any theater, hall school, college, church, hotel, other public building, or private habitation, in, on, or near any aircraft, railway passenger train, car, cable road or cable car, vessel engaged in carrying passengers for hire or other public place ordinarily passed by human beings is guilty of a felony, and shall be punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for a period of not less than five years. Minimum 5 years in prison

Attempted explosion of a destructive device with intent to murder Olson attempted to explode a bomb at the IHOP Aug 21, 1975 § 12308 [Exploding destructive device with intent to murder] Every person who explodes, ignites or attempts to explode or ignite any destructive device or any explosive with intent to commit murder is guilty of a felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for a periods of not less than 10 years. Minimum 10 years in prison
