Testified that Steven Beard knew about the graduation party and was abusive to Celeste Beard when he had been drinking.
Said Celeste Beard showed her a threatening anonymous letter she had received that was written in what Gibbs said was Kristina's handwriting.

Dawn Madigan, close friend of Celeste Beard
Stated that when she and the defendant were close friends they would hug, kiss and had slept in the same bed. But they did not have a romantic or sexual relationship.
Said that Celeste Beard gave extravagant gifts to all her close friends, including Madigan.
Testified that Celeste Beard made no calls from her cellphone at the hospital the day after the shooting.

Said she was friends with Celeste Beard and met Tracey Tarlton when she called for an appointment
Testified that Tarlton said to her: "If Steve ever hurts Celeste I'll kill him."

Beard twins (and occasionally their boyfriends) lived with Honaker for three months after Steven Beard died.
Said that the twins never offered to pay for room and board and owned extravagant things, including Cadillacs.
Testified that the girls moved in because they were scared of their mother after she asked them to pick out caskets.

Katina Lofton, Tracey Tarlton's former cellmate
Testified that Tracey Tarlton told Lofton in prison that she intended to lie in court, that she had a book deal and that she was having an affair with a woman at the courthouse.
Said that Tarlton told her she would lie to lessen her prison sentence.
Said that Tarlton also had a girlfriend in prison named Kathy Roberts who was going to publish her book about the case.
On cross-examination the prosecutor confronted Lofton with her extensive criminal past and letters she had written to Celeste Beard asking for money, legal aid and job opportunities.

Doug Byers, technician who worked on Beard homes
Installed in the Beard home wheelchair ramps and other amenities intended to make Steven Beard more comfortable.
Said Celeste Beard was happy that Steven Beard was returning home but worried about his health.

Dr. Robert Dennison, Beard neighbor
Said he and his wife are not close to the Beards.
Said one day as he was speaking to the defendant a vehicle drove up to the property and Celeste Beard said, "Oh my God, that is the woman that shot my husband."
Dennison described a scene in which Tarlton confronted Celeste Beard as she backed away frightened. Dennison said he became concerned for the defendant's safety.

Said she comforted a distressed and crying Celeste Beard the night of the shooting.

Said that Steven Beard died from a blood infection not from the gunshot wound.
Admitted on cross-examination that he is a paid witness.

Testified that Celeste Beard seemed to brighten her husband's life considerably.
Described the Beards as a normal, loving couple.
Said that Steven Beard was a heavy social drinker and would know the difference between vodka and Everclear.

Said Tracey Tarlton combined excessive drinking with her psychiatric drugs.
Testified that in a phone call with him Tarlton stated, "I would rather kill myself than go to jail."
Said Tarlton is capable of imagining a relationship.

Charles Burton, Celeste Beard's criminal lawyer
Represented defendant after Steven Beard was shot.
Said that the twins were on their mother's side until Kristina was appointed guardian of her mother's finances.
Took partial responsibility for the sign outside Steven Beard's hospital room, which barred detectives without an attorney and Celeste Beard being present. He said the sign was both his and Celeste Beard's idea.

Jimmy Martinez, Celeste Beard's ex-husband 
Said that affair with Celeste Beard began in November 1998 and ended in August 1999, two months before the shooting.
Testified that at the twins' graduation party he and Kristina Beard found Tracey Tarlton kissing Celeste Beard, who was asleep on the bed. Martinez said Tarlton would not leave until he escorted her out. That night Tarlton was arrested for DUI.
On cross-examination Martinez confirmed that he had a "BMW," a "Big Mexican Weiner," which was Celeste Beard's alleged nickname for his penis.

Admitted Celeste Beard to St. David's.
Said that Celeste Beard wanted to focus on her relationship with her husband in therapy.
Stated that Celeste Beard told her that Tracey Tarlton made a pass at her and Hauser advised her to break off contact because Tarlton was a bad influence.

Described the intense surveillance of all patients in the facility and Celeste Beard in particular due to her family's concern.
Stated he never saw evidence of a romantic relationship between Tarlton and Celeste Beard.
Said that nine times out of 10 the staff catches romantic relationships.

Said Tracey Tarlton heard insulting voices in her head and was also psychotic, delusional and prone to react to problems with anger and violent behavior.
Believes Tarlton and Beard did not have sex.
Said that he shared Milholland's concerns regarding Tarlton's violent intentions toward Steven Beard and believes that Tarlton was capable of killing him on her own.

Said Tarlton suffered from posttraumatic stress, bipolar disorder, alcoholism and suicidal tendencies.
Said that Tarlton's dream was to marry Celeste and that she had a pattern of falling in love with married heterosexual women.
Said that Tarlton said that her problems could be solved by "certain people's" deaths. Milholland presumed she meant Steven Beard, whom Tarlton blamed for her estrangement from Celeste Beard.

Melissa Caldwell, art therapy instructor at Timberlawn facility
Described a meeting between Celeste Beard and Tracey Tarlton at Timberlawn recommended by Dr. Bernard Gotway.
At the meeting said that Beard said she just wanted to be friends with Tarlton and that she no longer wanted to room with her.
After the meeting Caldwell described Tarlton as upset, crying and behaving in a "manic" way.

Treated Celeste Beard for suicidal depression before and after Steven Beard's death.
Said that Celeste Beard had been sexually abused by her father, had an obsessive compulsive disorder and had trouble setting boundaries because she wanted to please people.
Testified that Celeste Beard is impulsive and not good at long-range planning.
