Described Steven Beard as lost and lonely following the death of his wife, the witness's mother.
Described her first meeting with Celeste Martinez (defendant) who was then a live-in housekeeper for Steven Beard.
Said she saw her father much less after his remarriage.

Claimed Celeste Beard hired her to find a hitman to kill Tracey Tarlton after Steven Beard's death.
Said that after giving Goodson an initial lump sum of $500 Celeste Beard added Goodson to the payroll and made sexual advances toward her.
Testified that their association ended when Celeste Beard accused Goodson of stealing items she had given her.

Kristina Beard, defendant's daughter
Corroborated other witness accounts about Celeste Beard's drugging of her husband, her affair with Jimmy Martinez, her sleeping in bed with Tracey Tarlton.
Recalled that early in 1999 Celeste Beard threatened to commit suicide by holding a gun to her head. Said Kristina called 911 and Celeste Beard was hospitalized.
Saw books in Beard house about lesbian sex, crime scenes and poisoning.
Said Celeste Beard was calm when she saw that EMS had arrived the night of the shooting but became hysterical once they entered the house.
Said that, after Steven Beard's death, Celeste Beard was sent back to a psychiatric hospital. Kristina Beard said she refused to help her mother leave the hospital, enraging Celeste Beard in a tape-recorded phone call.

Tracey Tarlton, killer of Steven Beard and Celeste Beard's alleged lover 
Pleaded guilty to the murder of Steven Beard in exchange for testimony against Celeste Beard and a 20-year prison term.
Recounted three separate failed murder attempts by Tarlton and Celeste Beard on Steven Beard's life: poisoning him with 10 ecstasy tablets, poisoning him with homemade botulism, and strangling him with a plastic bag while he lay passed out in the kitchen.
Said that Celeste Beard threatened to kill herself if Tarlton did not kill Steven Beard. Said Celeste Beard then gave her detailed instructions for how, when and where to commit the shooting.
When Steven Beard survived the shooting, Tarlton said that Celeste Beard told her she would try to re-infect his wound at home.
When asked by defense attorney Rick DeGuerin why she decided to testify Tarlton, said she felt she and the victim were "kindred spirits, because they had been betrayed by the same woman." DeGuerin retorted, "You're testifying because you got a sweet deal!"

Described strained relationship with her mother, Celeste Beard, and said she moved in with her because her biological father committed suicide.
In addition to confirming past witness testimony regarding Celeste Beard's disrespectful behavior toward Steven Beard, Jennifer Beard also said that during a road trip Celeste Beard chain-smoked while her husband was using his oxygen tank and that she hid one of her three previous marriages from him.
Said Steven Beard removed his gun from the house after Celeste Beard threatened to commit suicide with it.
Described a group suicide pact Celeste Beard allegedly suggested to the twins and said that her mother bought pink coffins for them, which scared Jennifer.
Said that after Steven Beard's death her mother threatened to kill Kristina Beard, which frightened Jennifer so much that she broke off all contact with her mother.

Said the night of the shooting Celeste Beard gave Kristina Beard a curfew, which was unusual.
When he arrived at the hospital after the shooting, he had not spoken to Celeste Beard and immediately mentioned Tracey Tarlton as a suspect when questioned.
After a fashion victim party, saw Tarlton and Celeste Beard in bed together.
Recounted that one night when Celeste Beard was angry because her ex-husband Jimmy Martinez would not let her into his house, she threw her cellphone at his door, urinated on his lawn and encouraged the group to toilet-paper a tree in his yard.

Said that outside the door to Steven Beard's hospital room was a sign barring detectives without presence of an attorney and his wife.
Said he hung up on Celeste Beard when she banned him from seeing the victim because she said he was interfering with the investigation.

Was dating Jennifer Beard at time of shooting and death of Steven Beard.
Said that Celeste told him she had an agreement with Steven Beard that she would perform oral sex once a week, called "The Sunday Suck."
Said he found a romantic letter from Tarlton to Celeste Beard that implied they had a sexual relationship.
Verified Tarlton's handwriting, then prosecutor read aloud from her journal, "I told the doctor I have no sexual interest in you ... So I lied, you should too."

Recalled first time Tracey Tarlton returned from the psychiatric hospital and introduced him to Celeste Beard.
After she came back, he said, she began to wear uncharacteristically feminine clothing, carry a purse and a cellphone and wear an expensive watch.

Said that, on the night of the shooting, Celeste Beard made sure that she, Cozart, Jennifer Beard and her boyfriend, Christopher Doose, and the dog that usually slept at the foot of Steven Beard's bed were all at the lakehouse and not the main house.
Said Celeste Beard told her that giving Steven Beard oral sex was a chore.
