Mich. v. Randolph: Lawyer tried for wife's murder

The Verdict

On Nov. 19, 2001, Thomas Randolph's jury reached a verdict after more than 14 hours of deliberations. The verdict remained sealed, however, until Shannon's jury reached a verdict. After 24 hours of deliberations, Shannon's jury reached a verdict on Nov. 26, 2001.

The verdicts were both delivered the following day before a packed courtroom. While Randolph was convicted of first-degree murder, Shannon was cleared of all charges.
