Early 1994

Lynn Turner begins an affair with Forsyth County sheriff's deputy Randy Thompson, according to prosecutors.

Dec. 1994

Lynn Turner accompanies Randy Thompson to his parents' home in Warner Robins, Georgia; the Thompsons later maintain their son didn't know his girlfriend was married.

Feb. 19, 1995

Lynn Turner and Randy Thompson go away with another couple to Florida to attend a Daytona 500 race, according to prosecutors.

March 2, 1995

Glenn Turner is treated at the hospital emergency room with flu-like symptoms. He is released after being treated with IV fluids.

March 3, 1995

Glenn Turner is found dead in his bed by his wife.

Thompson's cause of death is changed from irregular heartbeat to antifreeze poisoning.

Fall 2001

Glenn Turner's cause of death is changed to antifreeze poisoning and deemed a homicide following another autopsy performed on his exhumed remains.

Nov. 1, 2002

Grand jury returns a murder indictment against Julia Lynn Turner.

    Julia "Lynn" Turner, a former 911 operator, stands trial for allegedly murdering her husband, Glenn, by poisoning him with antifreeze in 1995. Though her boyfriend, Randy Thompson, died of similar poisoning in 2001, Turner is not charged with his death.
