Amadou Diallo, 22, was shot 19 times outside his Bronx apartment building on Feb. 4 by four white police officers looking for a rape suspect. A street peddler from Guinea, Diallo was unarmed and had no criminal record. His death has prompted allegations of widespread police
brutality and racism in the New York City police department.
