Hulk Hogan, Sting, The Rock subpoenaed for Miami child's murder trial

MIAMI (AP) — The attorney for a 13-year-old boy accused of killing a 6-year-old playmate by slamming her into a table has subpoenaed Hulk Hogan and another wrestler to testify at his client's upcoming murder trial.

The boy was mimicking wrestling moves he had seen on TV, attorney Jim Lewis has said.

Lewis served subpoenas Sunday on wrestlers Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea and Steve "Sting" Borden during a World Championship Wrestling show. Earlier this month, Lewis subpoenaed World Wrestling Federation champion Dwayne Johnson, who wrestles as "The Rock."

Lewis wants the wrestlers to testify at the trial of Lionel Tate, who is charged as an adult with first-degree murder for last July's death of Tiffany Eunick.

Lewis wants the three to show jurors how pro wrestlers make their televised action appear authentic.

The boy was copying such moves, but didn't realize the injuries they could cause when he allegedly gave Tiffany a bear hug, dropped her onto a table and then swung her into a railing, Lewis has said.

The WWF is trying to squash Johnson's subpoena, saying the wrestler has no connection to Tiffany's death.
