Julie Jensen feared her husband, Mark Jensen, was plotting her death, so she documented her suspicions in writing. This letter, penned shortly before she passed away, was pivotal in his 2008 murder conviction. However, it also played a part in the reversal of that conviction in 2017. Mark Jensen was tried once more, with the proceedings broadcast live on Court TV.
