College Grad Shot Dead by Boyfriend’s Dad: Police
Whitney Robeson, a 22-year-old Alabama woman who had just graduated from Auburn University, was shot and killed inside a Trussville home. Investigators believe Jeffrey Towers, the father of Robeson’s boyfriend, was showing off his antique firearm collection when a gun went off. Authorities say the bullet struck Robeson in the chest, and despite being rushed to the hospital, she later died from her injuries. Towers claims the shooting was a tragic accident, but prosecutors later charged the 54-year-old with reckless manslaughter. Court TV’s Vinnie Politan Investigates. MORE
