FL v. EVERETT (2021)

Kaliyha Everett is facing life in prison for a murder he allegedly committed as a teenager in 2015. Prosecutors say then-17-year-old Everett intended to rob 19-year-old Tysaiah Christopher Donaldson when he contacted him to purchase marijuana. Eyewitnesses told authorities that when two men approached Donaldson at a Tampa apartment, one suspect opened fire, hitting him in the chest. Donaldson was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. Facebook photos and cell phone data reportedly led to Everett's arrest.
