In the weeks leading up to Scott Peterson's arrest for his wife's murder, police were secretly taping his phone calls. The following transcripts and audio files capture Peterson talking to friends, family, business contacts and the media in the early days of the investigation. Read or listen as he talks to his parents and in-laws, mutters choice words for reporters and confides in friends, all the while telling innumerable lies that prosecutors say implicate him in the murder.
