ORLANDO, Fla. (Court TV)— An Orange County judge permanently blocked police from releasing pictures and body camera video related to the investigation of Bob Saget’s death.

Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, and surviving daughters, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer, filed a motion for a permanent injunction on March 8, 2022. A brief hearing on the matter took place this morning, and Judge Vincent Chiu sided with the family.
“Plaintiffs will suffer irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress if Defendants release the Records in response to public records requests or otherwise disseminate the records for any other reason or purpose,” according to the complaint.
Per an incident report released by police, Saget, 65, was found dead in his hotel room on January 9. Saget’s death was ruled an accident, and the medical examiner said his death was the result. Also, in the medical examiner’s report, the medical examiner said, “it is most probable that Saget suffered an unwitnessed fall backward and struck the back of his head.”
Saget was best known for his role as Danny Tanner on the sitcom “Full House” and as the King of Dad jokes host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” He was buried in Los Angeles.
