FL v. SAMUELS (2006)
Ronald Samuels is accused in the murder-for-hire plot of his ex-wife, Heather Grossman. Heather was rendered a quadriplegic after she was shot in 1997. Her then-husband, John Grossman, sustained minor injuries. Prosecutors argue Samuels ordered the hit amidst a bitter child custody dispute. Samuels' defense claims the wealthy and influential Grossman family wants him behind bars for a crime he didn't commit. The four men who carried out the attack were given immunity in exchange for their testimony against Samuels.
