Laci Peterson's mother planning to write book about her daughter

MODESTO, Calif. (AP) — Laci Peterson's mother plans to write a book about her daughter scheduled to be released later this year.

Sharon Rocha's book, titled "For Laci," was listed Monday on the Web site of Crown Publishing, a division of Random House Inc. According to the company, the book is scheduled to be released in December and will cost $25.95.

Ron Grantski, Laci Peterson's stepfather, told the Modesto Bee that he would help Rocha, his longtime companion, write the book.

"A lot of truths haven't been told, and I kind of think they should be," he said. "Everyone has written little bits and pieces. This story is going to be a good one."

Laci Peterson's husband, Scott, was sentenced to death for killing her and the fetus she carried.

Among the other people to write about the case are Amber Frey, who had an affair with Scott Peterson and later testified for the prosecution in his trial, and Peterson's half-sister, Anne Bird.
