COHASSET, Mass. (Court TV) — The husband of a missing Massachusetts woman has been arrested for misleading police investigators, according to authorities.

Brian Walshe, 46, was taken into custody Jan. 8. His wife, 39-year-old Ana Walshe, was reported missing Jan. 4, said Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley.

Ana was last seen around 4:00 a.m. on Jan. 1. In a Jan. 6 press conference, Chief Quigley said it was “reported” that she took a rideshare to Boston Logan International Airport to board a plane to Regan National Airport in Arlington. Quigley said Ana commutes to Washington, D.C. regularly, but never boarded a flight on Jan 1. They haven’t been able to confirm if she got in a rideshare.

Police said Ana’s cellphone and electronic devices have not been active since she disappeared. The couple has three young sons together, and authorities previously addressed the possibility that she “needed a break.”

On Jan. 8, police executed a searched warrant at the Walshe home, according to local news station WCVB. Brian was reportedly seen being led away in handcuffs. Authorities said they believe he “had committed the crime of misleading police investigators.”

He’s expected to be arraigned Monday in the Quincy District Court.
