Simpson Calls Photo Of Him In Bruno Maglis 'A Fraud'
SANTA MONICA, Nov. 25 (3:30 COURT BREAK) -- O.J. Simpson, on the stand in his civil trial, said Monday afternoon he believed the photograph of him wearing Bruno Magli shoes was fake.
"My opinion is that it is a fraud," Simpson said. Although he admitted to not being a photography expert, Simpson said previous experience shows him that fraud is possible.
"I saw a picture of Mark Fuhrman and I playing golf together, and I've never played golf with him," Simpson said.
Daniel Petrocelli, who is conducting the examination, also questioned Simpson about whether or not he owned a dark sweatsuit. Simpson testified that he did not, even though Petrocelli produced a photograph of Simpson wearing a dark sweat suit while making a Playboy exercise video at the end of May, 1994. Though Petrocelli hinted that a wardrobe employee from the video shoot will say Simpson did not return the clothes, Simpson says he did.
Earlier, Simpson was unable to say whether he owned a pair of Aris Leather Light gloves, extra-large. But he did say Nicole Brown Simpson did not give him any as presents.
"And she bought you some gloves from time to time, is that true?" Petrocelli asked.
Replied Simpson: "Never."
