MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. (Court TV) — The son of Lori Vallow has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a woman.
Colby Ryan, 26, was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on Sept. 3 on two counts of domestic violence and sexual assault.
According to court documents, Ryan went to the woman’s home on Aug. 31, “where they began watching television together and started with consensual romantic contact.” The accuser told Ryan she did not want to have sex, but he allegedly forced himself on here anyways.
The report states the next morning, the accuser recorded a conversation with Ryan in which he “agreed that he ‘raped’ her.” Ryan also reportedly admitted to the rape in a police interview.
Ryan is the eldest and only living child of Lori Vallow, the woman accused of murdering her two children in 2019. Vallow and her husband, Chad Daybell, are scheduled to go on trial in January 2023.
