Matt Johnson

Crime and Justice Correspondent Matt Johnson is an EMMY® award-winning journalist. Prior to joining Court TV, Matt was a producer and contributor to documentaries for Investigation Discovery (ID) and Oxygen Network. His most notable reporting includes the O.J. Simpson trial in Las Vegas, Chad and Lori Daybell case, the Murdaugh Murder Mystery, the Robert Durst trial and the murder of rap icon Nipsey Hussle. Matt got his start as a storyteller as an on-the-scene anchor and reporter for local ABC, CBS and FOX stations in several cities, including Los Angeles, San Diego and Portland. In his spare time, Matt helps highlight cold cases with his award-winning true crime podcast, “True Crime Deadline”.
