In new gun law, a quiet breakthrough for victims of abuse
Lawmakers crafted a major bipartisan law on gun violence. The measure, signed by President Joe Biden, was part of a response to a string of shootings over the summer, including the slaying of 19 children at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.
