Raynella Dossett Leath appeared to be plagued by a string of deadly bad luck. In 1992, her first husband, Ed, who was in the late stages of a terminal cancer, was found dead in the couple’s corral, supposedly trampled by cattle. Over a decade later, Raynella would call 9-1-1 reporting that she had found her second husband dead from an apparent suicide but when investigators discovered an extraordinary amount of morphine in his system, it led to a criminal investigation into both men’s deaths.
